Here is a link to purchase the ticket for the live stream event, there will be whole 3 hours of solid lecture while you are practicing with me, hope to see you there!
I really admire your work. The most challenging angle for me to draw is the face at three quarters, with partial Rembrandt lighting. I can't seem to get all the angles to flow in harmony. I can draw all the features as outlines, but when I add shadows it all comes out wrong. Especially if the subject has strong cheekbones. I don't understand how the light is falling and I don't understand how to render the shadows compellingly. I'm really not sure what I'm doing wrong. Do you have any tips? Or can you sometime post a step by step tutorial on how to render the male and female face at three quarters, with shadows closest to the camera but not strong enough that the frontal plane of the face is obscured in shadow? I'd gladly pay for this tutorial. If you have books you can recommend I'd purchase those too.
